University of South Africa (UNISA) Begins Graduation Ceremonies

The University of South Africa has recently announced that graduation ceremonies will now resume as per usual. This comes after the institution had to postpone the graduation events due to an internal labour dispute with labour union NEHAWU.

“Unisa is happy to announce that the operations of the university have returned to normality. Thus, the graduation ceremonies will resume on Tuesday, 29 March 2022 as per the planned graduation schedule.”

The university further stated this it has already contacted all the students who are due to graduate and advised them with regards to their respective graduation dates and times.

Furthermore, the university has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the postponement of the graduations, adding that plans are already in place for alternative graduation opportunities for the affected graduate designates.
