University of the Philippines hopefuls queue infront of the Institute of Mathematics building in UP Diliman, Quezon City on Sunday, June 4, as they wait for their schedule of the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT).
The annual UPCAT is held on June 3 and 4 this year, bringing back a tradition which forms part of the application process for admission to the University. Successful test takers will be qualified for enrollment in UP for Academic Year 2024-2025.
“Over 100,000 students were expected to take the UPCAT in various testing centers nationwide. Of this number, at least 37,000 were scheduled to take the examination at the UP campus in Diliman, Quezon City.”
“For this year’s UPCAT, UP officials said they added more testing centers around the country — like in Siargao, Dinagat Islands, and Basilan — to make sure more students, especially those living in rural areas and disadvantaged communities, have the opportunity to enter the state university.”
