Updated SASSA r350 Grant Payment Dates for February

In todays latest SASSA News: The second month of the year has already started, and if you are a social grant beneficiary this means that it may soon be time for you to collect your monthly social grant. Here are the updated social grant payment dates for February.

The South African Security Agency bears the responsibility of disbursing grants to financially vulnerable South Africans on a monthly basis. These are the grant payment dates for February 2022.

Sassa released the following grant payment dates for the month of February:

  • Older Person’s grants will be paid from 3 February. This includes any grants linked to these accounts.
  • Disability grants will be paid from 4 February. This includes any grants linked to these accounts
  • All other grants will be paid from 7 February, including foster care grants, care dependency grants and child support grants.

Sassa will dedicate the rest of the month to processing Social Relief of Distress(SRD) grant payments. The SRD grant was initially introduced as government’s response to the negative economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

So if you are among the financially vulnerable cohort that relies on the payments of the SRD grant, here are the payment dates for February:

Should you be receiving your R350 grant through a bank account, it’s good to know that there is no fixed payment date, as Sassa has assured beneficiaries that they will receive the money that they are owed.

If you receive your grant through the Post Office, here are the R350 grant payment dates for February:

  • 14 Feb: 081 & 086
  • 15 Feb: 082 & 087
  • 16 Feb; 083 & 088
  • 17 Feb: 084 & 089
  • 18 Feb: 080 & 085
  • 21 Feb: 081 & 086
  • 22 Feb: 082 & 087
  • 23 Feb  083 & 088
  • 24 Feb: 084 & 089
  • 25 Feb: 080 & 085

The above dates are arranged according to the last three digits of a beneficiary’s ID number. Beneficiaries are also advised to wait for an SMS informing them their grant is ready for collection. Should you not receive an SMS, there won’t be a grant waiting for you at the Post Office.

Sassa has said that you do not need to fetch your grant on the first day and that the money will always be there for you to collect.
