What does NSFAS Provisionally Funded Status Means
Tracking the progress of your NSFAS application periodically is a vital stage in the process, as students might not always receive an email update regarding their NSFAS application status, thus it will be up to them to remain up to date.
Provisionally funded means that you are approved for NSFAS funding. Once the university or TVET college you are registered at submits your academic registration to NSFAS, payment will be made. Please proceed and register at a public institution for a NSFAS funded course.
After a student has enrolled for the upcoming academic year, NSFAS will determine whether or not they are eligible for financial aid, and if they are, they will update the student’s status to “Provisionally Funded” if they are still waiting for registration data from the student’s university.
