When is the Deadline for Traffic Officer Student Intake 2024
Applications for the traffic officer student intake for 2024 are now open and will close (Deadline) on the 28th of August 2023. Last year, the Western Cape Mobility Department saw ninety-nine (99) student provincial and municipal traffic officers graduate from Gene Louw Traffic College.
Should vacant & funded posts exist after obtaining the Further Education and Training Certificate, individuals may be offered permanent employment, however, it is not guaranteed.
Traffic Student Intake: Provincial Inspector (Beaufort West, Caledon, George, Knysna, Laingsburg, Metro (Cape Town), Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Swellendam, Vredenburg, Vredendal and Worcester), Ref No. MD 19/2023.
Recommendation
One year or more driving experience will be an advantage;
Key Performance Areas
Trainees must successfully complete the further education and Training Certificate Road Traffic Law Enforcement. Adherence to the terms and conditions of the signed 12 month contract for the duration of the training program which includes practical deployment on a 24/7 shift system when needed.

Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Province; Good interpersonal and public relations skills; Ability to work under pressure; Assertive and confident personality; Ability to work in a team and independently; Report Writing skills.
Remuneration:
A training stipend of R 5 000.00 per month will be paid monthly for the duration of the training period.
