Apply to participate in the first ever women’s online safety hackathon by the Women Techmakers team in Sub-saharan Africa.
The Women’s Safety Hackathon is a series of community events bringing together women across the globe to apply tech-based solutions to challenges of women’s safety online.
Teams would be formed at the event, giving you the opportunity to interact with other participants and build on exciting varying ideas.
– Technical knowledge
– Minimal to expert experience in the women online safety domain
– Willingness to participate physically in hackathon activities.
– Access to learn and interact with technical mentors and speakers in the field
– Access to online resources
– Nurture innovative ideas to help tackle issues bordered around women’s safety in online spaces
– Network and build with other women participants.
8:00am – 9:00am: Registration + Breakfast
9:00am – 10:20am : Opening remarks and lightning talks
10:20am – 10:35am : Team formation
10:35am – 4:00pm: Ideathon/Hackathon + Lunch breaks
4:00pm – 6:00pm : Solution presentation + Prizes presentation.
