Youth for Earth Young Changemakers Programme for Indians 2020

DEADLINE : 15th March 2020.

The Planet is facing climate emergency never seen before, everything from plants, animals to water and air we breathe is under threat. Unsustainable growth and lifestyle are mining the hills but creating mountains out of waste.

Can Things Change? Yes, they can when youth like you take the charge to bring upon the change to their surroundings. Youth all around the world are coming forward and being part of the solution to climate crisis.

Earth Day is celebrating its 50th year in 2020, be the part of this global moment as a champion. Do something different for your Planet this year 2020 not only as a changemaker but responsible one too.

​We invite you to be a ‘Champion for Earth and Change Maker’ by joining the campaign ‘Youth for Earth’ and contribute any activity which you did from 22 April 2019 onwards to bring a positive change for a more sustainable lifestyle.

How to Participate​
To participate in the campaign, below are the guidelines :
1. You will have to form a team consisting of 4- 11 members from your campus (school/college).
2. Give your team a name and an interesting challenge for the ‘Youth for Earth’ campaign.
3. Members of your team should be between 16-25 years of age and should be in school or college.
4. Your activity/project for the campaign should fall in or address one the mentioned category.

Challenge Details
​This campaign is all about doing an activity on the ground which brings about a change and leads to a more sustainable planet. You have the freedom to choose your team and choose your Project from the above categories.

The activity should have been initiated after 22nd April 2019 and can go on till the last date of this challenge.

The activity should be conducted to make positive changes on your campus or in the community nearby.

    Awards

    Three winners and two runners up will be announced on 22nd April 2020. Winners will be awarded exciting prizes along with certificate to team members. (Details coming soon)

A participation and recognition certificate will be given to all entries.

Winning team activities and other interesting activities will be highlighted and promoted by The Climate Reality Project India, Mobius Foundation India​ and Earth Day Network India through its social media platforms and website.
Jury will consist of eminent environmentalists and sustainability experts.

​Format
​Document the activities conducted by your group in three formats mentioned below. The submission language is English and Hindi.

• Written report (report format)
• Pictures (format)
• Short Video of 3-5 minutes (video format)
